We had a great discussion about Renert's article. Our group agreed that in public setting schools, we should not include any religions in a secular education since it is fair to all the religions and no one feels left out. As well, we think mathematics is an essential tool for other subjects should not keep it purely within its own disciplinary boundaries. Science has its own rational feature; however, in the application of science or mathematics needs to be ethical. I will discuss with my students about these difficult realities and guide them to analyze the real-world problem with valid data, and then make rational decisions on how to act.
